Baxter’s Brewhouse Inn

South Carolina's first Bed and Brew, Baxter’s Brewhouse Inn provides guests with not only a great continental breakfast but also evening snacks and, as its name implies, home-brewed craft beer. Located in a home built in 1901, Baxter’s has bedrooms upstairs and a beer parlor downstairs. It is located just steps from Front Street in downtown Georgetown.

Owner Joseph Baxter has added a unique twist to the bed-and-breakfast concept for visitors to Georgetown. He brings his success as a craft brewer to the home. He won the Brewing at the Beach competition at New South Brewery in 2015, and he took third place in the National Home Brew Competition for his Oyster Stout and Barley. Baxter also garnered a second-place finish in the Liberty Brewery & Grill competition in 2016.
